Samsung Galaxy S23 series price in India has already been leaked ahead of its global Unpacked launch event this week. Several reports and leaks have told us pretty much everything regarding the Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23 Plus and Galaxy S23 Ultra‘s specifications and design. The phones will arrive as successors to the Galaxy S22 lineup from last year and are expected to bring some significant improvements and changes to cameras and performance. The Samsung Galaxy S23 lineup is strongly rumoured to be powered by the overclocked version of Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC. The Indian variants are also expected to come with the Qualcomm SoC instead of Exynos.

Samsung Galaxy S23 series launch date

The Samsung Galaxy S23 will be launched at the Unpacked event on February 1st. The phones will be announced globally and we can expect a silent price declaration in India shortly after.

Samsung Galaxy S23 series price in India/global

As per leaks, the Samsung Galaxy S23 price in India is expected to start at Rs 79,999, up by Rs 7,000 from the price of the Galaxy S22 series. The Galaxy S23 Plus may be priced at Rs 89,999, while the Galaxy S23 Ultra will reportedly start at Rs 1,14,999.

Globally, the series is expected to start at $799 (approx 65,000) for the 8GB RAM and 128GB storage version. The Samsung Galaxy S23 Plus may start at $999 (approx Rs 81,200) for the 8GB + 256GB model. Samsung will also offer an 8GB/512GB model. Lastly, the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra may start at $1,199 (around Rs 97,400) for the 8GB/256GB model. The Samsung Galaxy S23 series will be available in Phantom Black, Cream, Green and Lavender colours.

Samsung Galaxy S23 series will have a familiar design as the Galaxy S22 lineup. The vanilla and the Plus model will have rounded edges with an aluminium frame and what appears to be a glass back. The phones will have a centre-positioned punch-hole cutout and ultra-narrow bezels. The volume rocker and power button will be present on the right, while the type-C port, speaker grill, and SIM tray section will be on the bottom.

On the other hand, the Galaxy S23 Ultra will have a Note-like design with sharp edges and a boxy design. The phone, however, design is the same. There is a centre-positioned punch-hole cutout and narrow bezels. The phone will have an S-Pen slot at the bottom.

The Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra is said to sport a 6.8-inch QHD+ curved AMOLED display with 120Hz refresh rate support, 2200nits brightness, Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2, and a hole-punch cutout at the top centre. While the vanilla Galaxy S23 is expected to sport a 6.1-inch FHD+ display, the Galaxy S23+ is expected to flaunt a 6.6-inch display with a 120Hz refresh rate. All the models are expected to pack an in-display fingerprint sensor for security.

The phones are expected to be powered by the overclocked version of Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC paired with Adreno GPU, up to 16GB RAM and 1TB storage that is further expandable via a microSD card. The new Galaxy S23 series models will run on Android 13-based OneUI 5.1 custom skin out of the box. Connectivity options could include 5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth, GPS, and a USB Type-C port for charging.

The phone packs a 5,000mAh battery and supports 45W fast charging. The vanilla model is tipped to ship with a 3,900mAh battery with 25W fast charging and the Galaxy S23 Plus may have a 4,700mAh battery. Connectivity options include 5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth, GPS, and a USB Type-C port. The phone will boot on the latest Android 13-based One UI 5.1.

Moving to optics, the vanilla Galaxy S23 is said to pack a 50MP primary camera with an LED Flash and OIS, a 12MP 120-degree FoV and a 10MP telephoto sensor. There is a 10MP snapper on the front for selfies and video chats. The exact configuration is expected on the Plus variant as well.

Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra is tipped to ship with quad cameras on the back, with a 200MP Samsung HP2 primary camera, a 12MP Sony IMX564 ultra-wide camera and two 10MP telephoto sensors with support for 3x and 10x optical zoom. The front camera details are not very clear at the moment. The Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra will have an IP68 rating for water and dust resistance.
