Should you buy the Samsung Galaxy S24+?
Samsung Galaxy S24+ is a year-old flagship but still offers good value, especially now at the discounted price. The main advantage of the phone is the One UI software, which has evolved quite a bit in recent times. Samsung is also promising 7 years of OS updates. The bundled AI features are quite productive.
While the Exynos 2400 is a very capable performer and was able to handle most tasks thrown at it, we now have phones with the newer Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset in the same segment. This puts it behind in the race and reflects in the benchmarks.
On the downside, the cameras are the best in the segment, and there’s room for improvement. The charging speeds are quite slow compared to over 100W on some flagships. Here’s what we said in our review:
The Samsung Galaxy S24 Plus is the perfect middle child and a solid upgrade from its predecessor. It gets a bigger and brighter display as well as a solid battery life. Moreover, Samsung promises 7 years of software support, keeping it in line with Pixel phones, and excellent performance. The only drawbacks seem to be hit-and-miss AI features and okay-ish cameras.
