Highlights
  • The Samsung Galaxy S25 series camera glitch is reportedly causing colour banding issues with nighttime shots.
  • Several bands are reportedly appearing, horizontally or vertically based on the phone’s orientation, even indoors.
  • Samsung is said to resolve the issue with the next software update rolling out starting this week.

After launching at the Galaxy Unpacked event last month, the Samsung Galaxy S25 series is finally making its way to users worldwide. This time, we get the new Snapdragon 8 Elite SoC across all variants. In the latest development, multiple user reports are now surfacing online regarding a camera glitch during nighttime shots.

  • The camera glitch is reportedly present on all variants of the Galaxy S25 series, including the vanilla Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25+ and Galaxy S25 Ultra.
  • Users of the phones are taking it to Reddit and Samsung Community Forum to report about several bands appearing in their photos, especially with nighttime images. This issue results in pictures turning blurry.
  • It is said that these bands/lines can appear horizontally or vertically depending on the phone’s orientation.
  • Some users are reporting that the camera glitch is present even with shots clicked indoors
  • However, Samsung is reportedly aware of the issue and said that it has issued a fix to address it in the next software update that will be rolling out starting this week.

We are aware of a limited number of cases where images appear blurred when taking photos in Night Mode on Galaxy S25 Ultra, and have issued a fix to resolve in the next software update rolling out starting this week,” Samsung said in a statement.

There are chances the fix should be available to the regular Galaxy S25 and Galaxy S25+ as well.
