Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge has been officially unveiled via a pre-recorded YouTube video. At just 5.8mm thickness, it is the slimmest Galaxy S Series phone ever. Besides its ultra-thin profile, the high-end device packs previously confirmed features like a 200MP main camera and Gorilla Glass Ceramic 2 screen protection, as well as a Snapdragon 8 Elite SoC and Android 15-based One UI 7. Price-wise, it is positioned between the Galaxy S25+ and the Galaxy S25 Ultra. Here is everything else you need to know:

Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge specifications

  • Display: On the front, there is a 6.7-inch AMOLED panel with QHD+ resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, and up to 2,600 nits peak brightness. Protected by Corning Gorilla Glass Ceramic 2.
  • Processor: Under the hood, it carries the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite SoC for Galaxy. This is the same chip that’s found on other Galaxy S25 series phones.
  • Memory: The phone packs 12GB LPDDR5x RAM with options for 256GB and 512GB UFS 4.0 storage.
  • Cameras: On the back, you get a 200MP primary sensor, which is also found on the Galaxy S25 Ultra and a 12MP ultra-wide sensor (with macro mode). Meanwhile, the front camera is a 12MP sensor.

  • Battery: Inside, you get a relatively small 3,900mAh battery with 25W wired charging support. Samsung claims the device can be charged up to 55 percent in around 30 minutes with this charging speed. For reference, the base Galaxy S25 packs a 4,000mAh battery.
  • Software: The phone ships with Android 15 with One UI 7 and Galaxy AI features like Drawing Assist and Audio Eraser. It will receive seven years of major Android upgrades.
  • Weight and thickness: Among other things, the device weighs just 163 grams, which makes it one of the lightest phones in its segment. The USP of the phone is its 5.8mm thickness, making it the slimmest Galaxy S series phone and one of the slimmest phones in the segment.
  • Miscellaneous: It also comes with IP68 water and dust resistance, 5G, Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4 connectivity, a Titanium alloy frame.
  • Colours: You can pick it in Titanium Jet Black, Titanium Icy Blue, and Titanium Silver colour options.
With the Galaxy S25 Edge, Samsung is targeting the demographic that wants a premium, sleek and lightweight phone without compromising on the display size. Measuring at just 5.8mm in thickness, this handset will go head to head with the rumoured iPhone 17 Air, which is said to be Apple’s take on a slim iPhone and could launch alongside the iPhone 17 lineup in September 2025.
