Samsung has confirmed the Galaxy S25 series will have newer Galaxy AI features thanks to its continued partnership with Google. And these AI capabilities could trickle down to the upcoming Galaxy S24 FE edition phone, with the phone tipped to be in the works. We have its possible codename too. Here’s more.
Samsung Galaxy S25 with more Galaxy AI features (confirmed)
In a recent forum, Cho Cheol-min, Samsung Electronics’ System LSI division’s Executive Director said the Galaxy S25 series will bring in more Galaxy AI features powered by Google’s yet-to-be-announced Gemini Nano 2 Large Language Model (LLM). He revealed the discussions are already on and the emphasis would be on on-device AI. This was published in South Korea’s Daum Herald Economy.
There is no mention of what these new AI features would be. But, based on a past report, we think some, if not all these new Galaxy AI goodies may be locked behind a subscription-based paywall.

Samsung Galaxy S24 FE codename spotted
The folk over at the Dutch website Galaxy Club has reportedly found the codename R12, which is believed to be the Samsung Galaxy S24 FE. Historically, the Galaxy S20 FE was R8, the S21 FE was R9, and the S23 FE was R11. So, the S24 FE could carry the R12 codename.
The Galaxy S23 FE launched in October 2023 and Galaxy Club also expects the Galaxy S24 FE launch to take place in late fall 2024 or early 2025.
However, since Samsung hasn’t been regular with the FE series, we suggest you take this piece of news with a pinch of salt.
