The iPhone 16 series launch event is set for September 9th and we will witness the announcement of four new models, including the iPhone 16 Pro Max. This will serve as a benchmark for many Android flagships that will follow later this year and early next. It will be a comparison rival with the Samsung flagship, believed to be dubbed the Galaxy S25 Ultra. Now, months before that happens, leaker Ice Universe claims the iPhone 16 Pro Max and the Galaxy S25 Ultra will share a lot of similarities.
Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra could iPhone 16 Pro Max could be similar
- Leaker Ice Universe claims that when the iPhone 16 Pro Max launches, a lot will be revealed about the Galaxy S25 Ultra.
- This is because both flagships will apparently have the same screen size, length, width, height and bezel size.
- He further takes a jibe at Apple for the Dynamic Island, whereas the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra will have a tiny punch hole cutout which looks more modern in comparison.
- While the leaker hasn’t shared the exact dimensions in the latest post, previous leaks claimed: the iPhone 16 Pro Max will measure 163.02 X 77.58 X 8.26mm and weigh 225 grams, while the Galaxy S25 Ultra is rumoured to have 162.2 X 77.6 X 8.4mm dimensions and weigh 221 grams.

The iPhone 16 Pro Max and the Galaxy S25 Ultra are expected to feature the same bezel size: 1.15mm. Both models are rumoured to arrive with 6.88-inch (Apple) and 6.86-inch (Samsung) display sizes, respectively. However, these could be rounded off to 6.9 inches at the time of launch. We need to wait until early 2025 to know for sure whether the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra and the iPhone 16 Pro Max share the exact same dimensions but considering the leaks, it could pan out.
Besides dimensions, both flagships should also have comparable performances thanks to the A18 Pro SoC on the Apple and Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 for Galaxy on the S25 Ultra.
