The Galaxy S25 Ultra looks quite different from its younger siblings just like the S24 Ultra. But this time, Samsung changed things a bit by making the edges of the S25 Ultra smoother and not sharp and boxy like the previous model. The new model is lighter too and has a larger display. The Galaxy S25 Ultra is powered by Qualcomm’s latest flagship chipset, while the S24 Ultra uses a generation older processor. This doesn’t mean the S24 Ultra won’t perform as expected but it does give the S25 Ultra a slight edge over its predecessor. The Galaxy S25 Ultra has a significant camera upgrade as Samsung has replaced the 12MP ultra-wide with a 50MP sensor. Rest of the camera sensors are the same on both phones. Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra vs Galaxy S24 Ultra: battery, charging
Both phones come with the same battery capacity and fast charging support. Samsung however says that the Galaxy S25 Ultra offers one more hour (31 hours) of video playback compared to the S24 Ultra. Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra vs Galaxy S24 Ultra: software & AI features
The Galaxy S25 Ultra and S24 Ultra run on the same custom One UI with Android. So the overall experience would be the same. The major difference here is the software support as the Galaxy S25 Ultra being the newer model gets another year of OS and security updates.
Samsung has also updated its suite of AI features for the S25 Ultra, including an upgraded Circle to Search, which can now quickly recognise phone numbers, emails, and URLs on your screen. It also comes with camera-specific AI features like Audio Eraser which removes unwanted noise in videos and Virtual Aperture which gives users depth-of-field control.
