Samsung Galaxy S7 available on Flipkart for Rs 29,990, but only for today

Flipkart is currently running its Samsung Mobiles Fest with discounts on a couple of devices. The best deal available on the e-tailer at the moment is on the Samsung Galaxy S7 (review). The phone is officially priced at Rs 39,400, but is available on Flipkart for just Rs 29,990, after a discount of Rs 9,410. You can also get an additional discount of Rs 25,000 by exchanging your old smartphone on the retailer.

The Samsung Galaxy S7 is a 19-month old smartphone, but it’s still one of the best flagships on the market. The phone features a metal frame and 3D glass on the front and rear. The device comes with IP68 certification for dust- and water-resistance, and packs in moisture sensors in the USB port. The device is capable of surviving under 1.5 metres of water for up to 30 minutes. The handset gets a fingerprint sensor that’s embedded into its home button, and a heart rate sensor on the back.

The Samsung Galaxy S7 boasts a 5.1-inch quad-HD Super AMOLED always-on pressure sensitive display with a pixel density of 577ppi. The device is powered by an octa-core Exynos 8890 (4 x 2.3GHz + 4x 1.6GHz) processor, mated to 4GB of RAM. The phone comes with 32GB of storage, and accepts microSD cards up to 200GB in size. The device was released with Android Marshmallow, but now has been upgraded to Android Nougat. There’s no word if it will be getting the Android Oreo at the moment.

The camera department on the Samsung Galaxy S7 includes a Dual Pixel 12MP rear snapper with a dual-tone LED flash, f/1.7 aperture and smart optical image stabilisation, and a 5MP front shooter with f/1.7 aperture. In terms of connectivity, the device offers hybrid dual-SIM slots, 4G LTE, VoLTE (voice over LTE), dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.2 LE, GPS with GLONASS, USB 2.0 and NFC. The device is fuelled by a 3,000mAh battery, which supports fast and wireless charging.
