- Samsung Galaxy Tab A8 2021 will be launched alongside Galaxy S21 FE in October
- It will sport a TFT display with FHD resolution
- The tablet will use a Snapdragon chipset and come in two RAM/ storage variants
Earlier this week, we gave you exclusive CAD-based renders of Samsung Galaxy Tab A8 2021 tablet, thanks to Steve Hemmerstoffer (aka @OnLeaks). Now 91mobiles has learnt more details about the new Galaxy tablet, this time courtesy Yogesh Brar. He says the tablet will feature a TFT display with support for Full HD resolution at 1200 pixels. The device will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon SoC, though we are not yet certain about the exact chipset. Samsung Galaxy Tab A8 2021 will be launched globally in October alongside the Galaxy S21 FE smartphone.
Furthermore, Brar noted that Samsung will offer its latest mid-range tablet in two RAM/ storage variants. Most likely for tablets in the Tab A series, we can expect 3GB and 4GB as the RAM options, along with up to 128GB storage that is further expandable using microSD cards.
Samsung Galaxy Tab A8 2021 design and features
As shown in our 5K renders, the upcoming Samsung tablet borrows a lot of its design elements from its predecessor, with thick bezels on all sides of the screen and a single rear camera. The Galaxy Tab A8 2021 is said to measure 246.7 x 161.8 x 6.9mm (8.7mm including rear camera bump). It will feature quad-speakers powered by Dolby Atmos. The upcoming Samsung tablet could be made available in an LTE version as well but should be slightly pricier than the Wi-Fi-only model.
Going by all these details, and the general pricing trend in the tablet segment, we expect the Samsung Galaxy Tab A8 2021 price in India to be upwards of Rs 17,000. The LTE version could be priced around Rs 22,000 when it launches.
Now, we just have to wait for Samsung to officially confirm the launch date of the new Galaxy tablet and possibly the FE version of Galaxy S21.
