Samsung Galaxy Tab S5 will support S Pen, launch in August: report

“Samsung Galaxy Tab S5 is expected to be a flagship offering with 6GB of RAM and up to 512GB of internal storage”

Earlier this year, Samsung unveiled a mid-range tablet called the Galaxy Tab S5e. The slate didn’t arrive with a stylus. This suggested that the brand’s upcoming flagship slate, the Galaxy Tab S5, might not also have a pen of its own. However, a report by GalaxyClub suggests that the Galaxy Tab S5 will indeed come with its own stylus.

The report suggests that Samsung will continue the tradition of offering an S Pen stylus with its flagship tablets. The brand’s previous such slates including the Galaxy Tab S3 and Tab S4 also arrived with the same. The stylus has a slim rubber tip that allows for accurate and quiet writing and drawing. You can use it to create animated handwritten notes, draw on photos, and send them to your friends, so the accessory can go a long way in enhancing your productivity.

It also said that thanks to the presence of the S Pen, the Samsung Galaxy Tab S5 will be priced similar to the Galaxy Tab S4. The previous-gen slate is currently retailing in India for Rs 57,900. Notably, the Tab S5e without S Pen was launched affordably at $399 (~Rs 27,700). Lastly, the report suggests that the Galaxy Tab S5e will be launched around the same time as the Galaxy Note 10, which is due in August.

As far as the specs are concerned, the Galaxy Tab S5 will reportedly arrive with Qualcomm’s top-notch Snapdragon 855 processor. The slate is said to offer 6GB of RAM and up to 512GB of storage. The tablet is rumoured to ditch the 64GB storage model and its base variant will have 128GB of memory. Sadly, no other details regarding the device are available at the moment.
