Samsung Galaxy Watch 3 launch is expected soon and will succeed the original Galaxy Watch from 2018. The smartwatch was recently spotted on the Galaxy Wearable app along with the rumoured Galaxy Buds X. The smartwatch is said to retain the physical rotating bezel from the original Watch and there will be two sizes: 41mm and 45mm, both have been tipped to ship with Wi-Fi/Bluetooth-only and LTE variants. The Galaxy Watch 3 is said to be equipped with Gorilla Glass DX, 5ATM water resistance, MIL-STD-810G durability rating, and GPS support. Now, while we wait for the announcement, more details about the Galaxy Watch 3 have surfaced online, courtesy of SamMobile.
As per the SamMobile report, the 41mm Galaxy Watch 3 will have a 1.2-inch display, while the 45mm model will sport a slightly bigger 1.4-inch screen. These are tipped to measure 45 x 46.2 x 11.1 mm and 41 x 42.5 x 11.3 mm, respectively. The former is said to be equipped with a 247mAh battery and the latter has been reported to have a 340mAh battery. The 41mm and 45mm models are said to have 1GB of RAM and boot Tizen OS 5.5. The watch will reportedly have a heart-rate sensor with 8 pulse-reading photodiodes, an electrocardiogram (ECG) monitor and a blood pressure monitoring support.
Separately, the live images of the Galaxy Watch 3 have surfaced online on the South Korean SAR, revealing the dial of both the versions. The right side houses two buttons, probably for navigation or for selection. These have model numbers SM-R840 and SM-R850. Unfortunately, not much else is revealed about the Galaxy Watch 3 at the moment, but we should learn more going forward.
