Samsung India has expanded its wearables lineup with the launch of Galaxy Watch Active and Galaxy Fit series. All these accessories were announced earlier this year alongside the Galaxy S10 smartphones, but they are only making their debut in India now. While the Galaxy Watch Active is a smartwatch with 1.1-inch AMOLED display, Tizen OS, and a slew of tracking features, the new Galaxy Fit and Fit E are “fitness wearable for everyone.”
Samsung Galaxy Watch Active, Fit series prices in India
The new Samsung Galaxy Watch Active price in India is set at Rs 19,990. The smartwatch will be available in Black, Silver, Rose Gold, and Deep Green hues. The Galaxy Fit and Galaxy Fit e, on the other hand, will cost Rs 9,990 and Rs 2,590, respectively. The Galaxy Fit comes in Silver and Black colours, while Galaxy Fit e is available in Black, White, and Yellow colour options.
Interested buyers can purchase the wearables across all retail stores and Samsung Opera House from June 25th onwards. The Galaxy Watch Active will also be available on Amazon.in besides the Samsung e-shop, whereas the Galaxy Fit will be up for grabs via Flipkart, Myntra, and Samsung e-shop.
Samsung Galaxy Watch Active, Galaxy Fit series specifications
Starting with the Galaxy Watch Active, it has an always-on AMOLED display with Gorilla Glass 3 protection up top. The smartwatch comes equipped with a heart rate monitor, stress tracker, and the capability to auto-detect when you run, bike, row, etc. The Galaxy Watch Active can also monitor users’ blood pressure using the My BP Lab app. The watch is compatible with both Android and iOS devices with Bluetooth 4.0 and comes running Tizen 4.0 OS out of the box.
There are also 39 activity modes preloaded on the watch along with the ability to set daily limits and monitor progress. It’s powered by the dual-core 1.15GHz Exynos 9110 chipset coupled with 768MB RAM and 4GB onboard storage. The Galaxy Watch Active also boasts of 5ATM and IP68 ratings and military-grade durability. Other features include Bixby voice support, compatibility with third-party apps including Under Armour, Spotify, and Strava, WPC-based wireless charging, NFC, A-GPS, GLONASS, and Wi-Fi b/g/n. The 20mm straps accompanying the watch are interchangeable.
The Galaxy Fit and Fit e, meanwhile, ship with 0.95-inch AMOLED and 0.74-inch PMOLED displays, respectively. They both have miltary-grade durability and 5ATM rating for military-grade durability. The wearables run Realtime OS out of the box and have tracking features to track your walk, run, bike, row, hop, and other activities. They also have Samsung Health app support that offers a rich tracker library of more than 90 different activities. While the Galaxy Fit is fitted with 120mAh battery with NFC wireless charging support, the Fit e ships with 70mAh battery that supports Pogo charging.
