Samsung Galaxy Watch Active new renders reveal colours and design once again

“The renders reiterate the removal of the rotating bezel and show three colour options.”

Back in early January, news about a new Galaxy smartwatch codenamed “Pulse” broke out. As per leaked renders and info, the smartwatch could be called Galaxy Sport and would come in Black, Silver, Green and Pink Gold colour options. We also shared some exclusive images of the watch last month. Since then, new reports have suggested that the watch could be called Galaxy Watch Active. Today, more images of the same accessory have leaked shedding more light on its design and colours.

As evident from the images, published by Tiger Mobiles, the design more or less resembles what was revealed earlier by @OnLeaks in his factory-based renders. However, there is a noticeable big bezel on the smartwatch in this render while the previous one did not depict it clearly because of its white and black nature. Previous have suggested the smartwatch will run Tizen OS and will be controlled by buttons positioned on the right side while removing the handy rotating bezel on some current models. Moreover, the watch could also come with Bixby Reminders and native 4GB of storage. There’s also support for Bluetooth, NFC, and Wi-Fi.

The Galaxy Watch Active has also passed a host of certifications including the EEC in Russia, and more importantly, the FCC in the US. This also indicates the possibility of the accessory being introduced at the Unpacked event in a couple of weeks, even though there is no such official info right now.

The Active tag with the watch also hints the smartwatch could be part of the more rugged and durable line-up of watches that Samsung offers. These watches typically come with waterproofing fitness-centric features apart from the smart functions. For now, this is the info we have but we could at least hope to hear more about the product at the Galaxy Unpacked event on February 20.
