Update: A recent listing on UAE’s TDRA certification website reveals this watch will be called the Samsung Galaxy Watch Ultra, and not Samsung Galaxy Watch X. It has the model number SM-L705F and sports cellular connectivity. An FCC listing of the same reveals support for 10W charging. Its other expected features include an Exynos W1000 chipset, a squircle matte case, a round 1.5-inch display with a rotating bezel, 3 buttons on the right side and a speaker grille on the left side. We have shared its leaked renders below.

Original story follows…
Samsung could launch a more premium smartwatch under its Galaxy Watch lineup, christened the Galaxy Watch X. It could sport a bigger battery life than the upcoming Galaxy Watch 7 lineup when it launches in June, according to a report. Also, if the rumour is true, this so-called Watch X could be the flagship Samsung smartwatch this year.
Samsung Galaxy Watch X rumour
- The rumour comes from the German website Techmaniacs. It could deliver up to 100 hours of battery life. The Galaxy Watch 7 Pro itself is believed to carry a 600mAh cell, which would make it the WearOS smartwatch with the biggest battery when it launches. So, it’ll be interesting to see what the Watch X brings.
- As per it, the Galaxy Watch X could sport a strong build.
- It could be waterproof up to 100 meters, which should equip it for diving. This is similar to what the Apple Watch Ultra 2 offers.
- With these upgrades, the Watch X could have a higher asking price than other Watch 7 smartwatches.
A recent leak by Smartprix shared the squarish design of the Galaxy Watch 7 Ultra model. Maybe Galaxy Watch X could have this design.
Samsung Galaxy Watch X competition, predecessors
From the looks of it, this will directly compete against the Apple Watch Ultra 2 (which starts at Rs 89,900). The Apple Watch is also water resistant up to 100 meters. The Galaxy Watch X could last longer since the Apple Watch Ultra 2 boasts only 72 hours of runtime (in low power mode). Apple has used Titanium casing and Sapphire Crystal Glass for durability.
The Galaxy Watch 5 Pro brought a Titanium build and Sapphire Crystal display. It even had more outdoor fitness features and a larger battery size than its vanilla sibling.
Although there was no Pro model in the Galaxy 6 series last year, compared to a Galaxy Watch 6, the Galaxy Watch 6 Classic had a bigger body and a stronger build, keeping the rest of the things comparable.
Meanwhile, the forthcoming Galaxy Watch 7 is expected to bring Wear OS 5, a 3nm processor, 32GB of storage, and both WiFi and e-SIM support.
Techmaniacs have also spilt some details about the other expected launches from the upcoming Galaxy Unpacked. The event could take place on June 24th. There is only a slight chance the Galaxy Ring will be announced for the European market. The Galaxy Z Flip 6 and Fold 6 could come powered by a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, and a 50MP main camera, and their price could rise by €100 (Rs 9,043.09).
