Samsung Galaxy XCover Pro is now official just a few days after its specifications and price leaked out. This is a ruggedly design smartphone that is made to withstand extreme usage thanks to a heavily protected exterior and enhanced touchscreen that can work in any condition, including rain or snow. There’s also a new glove mode that allows using the phone with gloves on, and the new voice to text message feature offers real-time dictation and messaging for convenient communication. The Galaxy XCover Pro is also push-to-talk ready, thanks to its two programmable keys that allow users to contact with just a click of a button. Samsung says that it worked closely with Microsoft to introduce Microsoft Teams, which is a new walkie talkie feature for push-to-talk communication.

The Samsung Galaxy XCover Pro is priced at $499.99 (around Rs 35,500), and it will be available from the first half of 2020 in the US. The handset comes in just Black colour option.

Samsung Galaxy XCover sports a 6.3-inch Infinity-O full HD+ display with 2,400 x 1,080 pixels resolution, Wet Touch and Glove Mode. It is powered by a 2.3GHz octa-core Exynos 9611 processor with Mali-G72 GPU, 4GB of RAM and 64GB of onboard storage that is further expandable up to 512GB via micro SD card. The handset ships with Android 10 with One UI 2.0 custom skin on top. Connectivity options include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac, Bluetooth 5, GPS + GLONASS, USB Type-C, and NFC.
In terms of optics, the Samsung Galaxy XCover Pro packs dual-rear cameras consisting of a 25-megapixel primary sensor and an 8-megapixel ultra-wide angle lens. On the front, there is a 13-megapixel snapper for selfies and video chats. It rocks a side-mounted fingerprint sensor for security, IP68 rating for water and dust resistance, and is MIL-STD 810G certified for extreme durability. The handset houses a 4,020mAh battery with 15W fast charging support and has Pogo pin charging support.
