Tech giant Samsung has officially announced the Galaxy Z Flip 5 Retro limited edition phone in select markets. According to the company, the retro variant takes inspiration from the Samsung E700 (SGH-E700), a classic flip phone.

Samsung says that the SGH-E700 made a significant impact on the market with its unique design and capabilities back in 2003, nearly 20 years ago. The SGH-E700 was a pioneering mobile phone at the time, as it was Samsung’s first to have a built-in antenna.

Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5 Retro release date, availability

The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5 Retro will have limited availability in South Korea, the UK, France, Germany, Spain, and Australia.
The limited edition phone will be accessible in South Korea from November 1st and in the other mentioned countries from November 2nd.
Interested users in these specific regions can buy this particular phone solely from the company’s official website, Samsung.com.
Meanwhile, the India availability of the limited edition phone hasn’t been announced yet.

The Galaxy Z Flip 5 Retro incorporates several features from the SGH-E700, like its indigo blue and silver colours, a reinterpretation of 2000s pixel graphics in the UX design, and a special animation on the Flex Window showing a nostalgic cityscape.
