A lot of information has already surfaced on Samsung’s first fan edition of the flip foldable, called the Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE. The handset is rumoured to launch later this year. A report from the previous month revealed that it will borrow specifications from the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5 and Samsung Galaxy S24 FE. Now, a new leak reveals contrasting specifications of the Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE along with its pricing.
Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE new specs surface
- Greek publication Techmaniacs reports that the Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE will be equipped with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC which already powers the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 6.
- It will pack 12GB RAM onboard which is also present on the Galaxy Z Flip 6.
- The fan edition foldable is said to borrow the same camera setup from the Galaxy Z Flip 6 which has a 50MP main sensor, 12MP ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 10MP selfie snapper. All three cameras will reportedly support 4K video recording.
- The latest information is different as the Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE was previously rumoured to have the Z Flip 5’s 8GB RAM and 12MP dual rear cameras.
- As per the report, the Z Flip 7 FE will be backed by a 4,000mAh battery cell with support for 25W wired and 15W wireless charging. The phone has already bagged 3C certification.
- It is said to retain the 6.7-inch LTPO 2x AMOLED main display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a 3.4-inch secondary screen as the Galaxy Z Flip 6.
- The upcoming foldable phone is rumoured to cost under $1,000 (~Rs 84,900).
The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE is reported to be delayed and arrive after the Z Fold 7 and Z Flip 7, which are expected to launch in July. To recall, the Galaxy Z Flip 6 was launched at a starting price tag of Rs 1,09,999.
Should You Wait for the Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE?
If the latest leak proves accurate, the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE could deliver a flagship-level experience at a relatively lower price point. With features like the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, 12GB RAM, and advanced camera setup, it appears positioned as a more affordable entry into the foldable segment. However, since Samsung hasn’t confirmed any details and the launch is reportedly delayed, those interested may have to wait until late 2025 for clarity.
