Samsung is preparing to launch its Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Z Flip 7 foldable smartphones for global markets, including India. A new report has suggests the event venue for these upcoming foldables. The South Korean tech giant is returning to the US to host its Galaxy Unpacked event, despite ongoing tensions sparked by the US president’s tariff policies.

The JoongAng, a popular South Korean publication, has reported the launch timeline and venue for the Galaxy Unpacked event.
According to the report, the upcoming Galaxy Unpacked event will take place in New York.
The brand previously held a Galaxy Unpacked event in the US in 2022 and is now returning to the country after three years. The 2023 and 2024 Galaxy Unpacked events for foldables were held in Seoul, Samsung’s home country, and in Paris, as part of the Olympics.
The publication also confirms that Samsung is considering an early July launch, which could see the devices released earlier than their predecessors. For context, the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Z Flip 6 were unveiled on July 10th.
According to 9to5Google, Samsung might unveil the foldables on July 4th.
Samsung is also expected to launch a new Galaxy Watch and Android XR headset alongside the foldables. The company may also drop teasers for the upcoming Galaxy Z Flip FE and Galaxy G Fold, which are anticipated to launch in Q4 of 2025.
The Galaxy Z Flip 7 is expected to feature a larger external display and inner screens with thinner bezels and a bigger battery. Meanwhile, the Galaxy Z Fold 7 could be slimmer and offer a less noticeable crease.

As mentioned, the smartphones will most likely boot One UI 8 based on Android 16 out of the box.
The Galaxy Z Flip 7 will flaunt a 6.85-inch inner and 4-inch cover display. It will also pack a larger 4174mAh rated battery.
Both the foldables will support 25W wired fast charging tech and pack Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Made for Galaxy SoC. The Made for Galaxy chipset reportedly features a faster peak clock speed in comparison to the standard variant.
The Galaxy Z Fold 7 will reportedly feature a new 200MP main camera. It will retain the 10MP telephoto and 12MP ultrawide cameras.
The book-style foldable device will also sport a larger 8.2-inch internal screen and a 6.5-inch outer screen.
