Samsung Gear S4 spotted on Eurasian Economic Commission’s website; launch imminent

It is now no news that the South Korean handset maker, Samsung is expected to launch its next-generation Gear S4 smartwatch alongside Galaxy Note 9. A recent leak suggested that the upcoming Gear S4 smartwatch will come with a much better processor and a larger battery. The upcoming smartwatch has recently been spotted on the Eurasian Economic Commission’s website hinting at an imminent launch.

However, the ECC listing of the upcoming smartwatch doesn’t reveal anything of substance. Although, we know from the previous leak that the brand is using a new Panel Level Packaging (PLP) manufacturing process for the chipset to be used in the smartwatch. What this process does, is improve the way the chipset is integrated into the motherboard. As a result, Samsung will be able to pack in more hardware onto the motherboard. According to the leak, Samsung is likely to use the additional space to use a larger battery. Notably, the new process also helps the company to save on manufacturing costs.
