“The design of the new Samsung Notebook 7 laptops is clearly inspired by its competitor MacBook Pro”
Samsung has launched two 13-inch and 15-inch laptops, called Notebook 7. The overall structure and design of the two Notebook 7 models are so similar to Apple’s MacBook Pro that you will have to squint to discern the differences between them. The Windows 10-powered laptops have diamond cut edges, a wide trackpad, and narrow bezels surrounding the screen. The only notable difference is on the numpad on 15-inch Notebook 7’s keyboard.
As for the specifications, the Samsung Notebook 7, unlike the MacBook Pro, ships with 8th Gen Intel Core processor, 8GB of RAM, full-HD (1080p) screen, and fingerprint sensors. The 15-inch version of the laptop can be customised with Nvidia’s GeForce MX250 graphics and support for the installation of an additional SSD for more storage. Connectivity options include two USB 3.0 ports, a USB-C port, HDMI, and a microSD slot.
The Samsung Notebook 7 prices start from $999 (~Rs 69,400) that goes up to $1,099 (~Rs 76,400), depending upon the variant and model you buy. The laptops will release in the US on July 26th on Amazon.com and Samsung’s own online store.
In addition to this, the chaebol has also announced Notebook 7 Force laptop. The machine features the same 15.6-inch Full HD display with slim bezels, Intel Core i7 processor, up to 512GB SSD and HDD, and 16GB RAM. The laptop sports NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650 GPU, which is supposed to be more powerful, and an additional security slot. The Samsung Notebook 7 Force will set you back to $1,499 (~Rs 1,40,000).
