At the ongoing CES 2019 in Las Vegas, Samsung has unveiled an upgraded version of the Notebook Odyssey gaming laptop. In addition, the South Korean tech giant has also introduced the new Samsung Notebook 9 Pro convertible, and the refreshed Notebook Flash laptop. The Notebook 9 Pro is a high-end offering that doubles as a tablet, while the Notebook Flash is an affordable notebook.
Samsung Notebook 9 Pro
Talking about the Notebook 9 Pro first, the convertible flaunts a premium metal body with diamond-cut edges, and gets a 360-degree rotatable hinge. The hybrid offers a 13.3-inch full HD display, and boots Windows 10 Home. The notebook comes bundled with the Active Pen, which offers more than 4,000 levels of pressure sensitivity to let you accurately write, draw and more on the screen. For an immersive media experience, the laptop is loaded with dual 1.5W stereo speakers with Thunder Amp. There’s also a fingerprint sensor on board for advanced security.
As for the other specs, the Notebook 9 Pro sports an 8th-gen Intel Core i7 processor, aided by 8GB of LPDDR3 RAM. The notebook gets Intel UHD 620 graphics and 256GB of PCIe NVMe SSD. The laptop gets two Thunderbolt 3 ports for faster data transfers, a USB Type-C port, a microSD card slot, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. A 55Wh battery with fast charging support keeps the notebook running. The brand claims that the Notebook 9 Pro is capable of delivering 14 hours of usage on a single charge.
Samsung Notebook Flash
Moving onto the Notebook Flash, the device sports a plastic body with a unique textile-patterned chassis, and a typewriter keyboard. The laptop is equipped with up to an Intel Pentium Silver N5000 processor, aided by 4GB of RAM and 64GB of eMMC storage. The Windows 10 Home offering is loaded with a fingerprint scanner. The laptop gets a 13.3-inch full HD LED display with anti-glare coating, two USB Type-C ports, an HDMI port, a USB 3.0 port, a microSD card slot, two 1.5W speakers, and up to 10 hours of battery life.
Samsung hasn’t yet revealed the price of the Notebook 9 Pro, but the brand did reveal that the convertible will be available in early 2019. As for the Notebook Flash, the laptop will go on sale from January 15th at the starting price of $349.99 (~Rs 24,500).
