Samsung India has launched the curved Odyssey G9 and G7 gaming monitors that were originally unveiled at CES 2020. The former comes with a 49-inch display, while the latter is available in 32-inch and 27-inch size variants. Samsung claims both the monitors offer an immersive gaming experience and are the world’s first 1000R gaming monitors, meaning the monitor boasts a curvature radius of 1,000mm that matches the curve of the human eye. The Odyssey G9 and G7 gaming monitors are certified by TÜV Rheinland Eye Comfort certificate and these come with a 1ms response time and a refresh rate of 240Hz.

Samsung’s Odyssey G9 49-inch and G7 are priced in the range of Rs 49,000 and Rs 1,99,000. They are available for pre-booking in India till December 31, 2020, with special offers.

The Samsung Odyssey G9’s 49-inch model is the world’s first Dual Quad HD display with 5,120 X 1,440 pixels screen resolution, 240Hz refresh rate, 1ms response time, 32:9 aspect ratio, 1000R curvature, and 1000 cd/m2 peak brightness. It features Quantum dot technology combined with an HDR1000 VA panel. The Samsung Odyssey G7 will be available in 32-inch and 27-inch Quad HD display sizes with 2560×1440 pixels resolution, 16:9 aspect ratio, and HDR600 VA panel, and 600 cd/m2 peak brightness. It has colour-changing rear-core lighting that can remain static, dim, or flash colours based on gamers’ preferences. Samsung Odyssey gaming monitors are NVIDIA G-SYNC compatible and Adaptive-Sync on DP1.4. They feature free Sync premium Pro Eco saving plus, eye saver mode, and are flicker-free.
