- Samsung aims to roll out Galaxy AI to over 100 million devices by the end of 2024.
Samsung is rolling out the One UI 6.1 update to more Galaxy phones. This includes Galaxy S21 series (Galaxy S21, S21 Plus, S21 Ultra), Galaxy S22 series (Galaxy S22, S22 Plus, S22 Ultra), Galaxy Z Fold 4, Galaxy Z Flip 4, Galaxy Z Fold 3, and Galaxy Z Flip 3. This brings Galaxy AI features to all these devices but the rollout is limited to just one market.
One UI 6.1 rollout begins
Although Samsung has started releasing the One UI 6.1 update to the above phones in South Korea only, we think the rollout will expand to more markets eventually.
However, there’s some disparity in the number of Galaxy AI features being rolled out to all these devices.
The Galaxy S22 series, Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Z Flip 4 are getting all Galaxy AI capabilities that the newer Galaxy devices have.
Even, Galaxy Z Fold 3 is getting most Galaxy AI features like Circle to Search, webpage summarisation, notes summarisation, live language translation, image editing suggestions, generative AI-powered editing, Interpreter Mode, voice transcription in Voice Recorder, AI-generated wallpapers, and auto templates in Samsung Notes.
The Galaxy S21 series and Galaxy Z Flip 3 don’t get these many features. One highlight feature it is getting is Circle to Search.
So with this rollout and the possible expansion to other markets, One UI 6.1 is on its way to be available on more than 100 million Galaxy devices.
