Samsung India has announced the release of a new AI-powered QLED TV called QEF1 and the 2025 refresh of its Crystal Clear 4K UHD TVs, viz., UE81, UE84, UE86. These are aimed at users looking for a TV from a trusted brand with reliable panel quality. Out of the two, the QLED TV comes with “safe” Quantum Dot technology. We will get to what the brand means by “safe” below. We will also check out the key features of both these TV lineups. Let’s start with the pricing and availability details.

Samsung QEF1 QLED, Crystal Clear 4K TVs: price, availability

  • The TVs will be available through Amazon, Flipkart and the Samsung website starting May 1st, 2025. 
  • The QEF1 QLED model starts at Rs 39,990.
  • The UE81 Crystal 4K TV starts at Rs 31,490. The UE84 starts at Rs 32,990. The UE86 starts at Rs 34,490.
  • Customers can get up to a 35 percent discount on the new Samsung TVs. QLED models start at Rs 3,333/month and UHD models at Rs 2,500/month with a 12-month no-cost EMI option. Buyers can also get up to Rs 3,000 instant bank cashback. 

Samsung QEF1 QLED TV specs, features

  • The QEF1 TV will be available in 43-inch, 55-inch, 65-inch and 75-inch models.
  • The 4K QLED panel is powered by the Q4 AI processor. You get HDR10+ support, 4K upscaling, Motion Xcelerator, Filmmaker mode, and 50Hz refresh rate. Samsung claims to have used true quantum dot LEDs without cadmium (a harmful substance generally found in this type of LEDs). Hence, Samsung calls it safe.
  • For more assurance, the TV comes with Samsung Knox security.
  • The TV offers 100 percent colour volume and is validated by Pantone. 
  • The visuals are backed by 20W 2.0 channel speaker setup with OTS Lite and Q-symphony. 
  • The underlying OS is Tizen with Bixby, and free live TV channels via Samsung TV Plus. Samsung offers 7 years of OS upgrades.
  • Gaming features include ALLM, Game Motion Plus, and AI Auto Game mode.
  • There are 3 HDMI with eARC, 1 USB-A, Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.3, and an Ethernet port.

Samsung Crystal Clear 4K LED TV specs, features

  • The UE81 and UE84 TVs will be available in 43-inch, 50-inch, 55-inch and 65-inch models. The UE86 comes in 43-inch, 55-inch, and 65-inch models.
  • The rest of the specifications appear to be comparable to the QEF1.
  • The 4K QLED panel is powered by Crystal Processor 4K. The display features include HDR10+ support, 4K upscaling, Motion Xcelerator, Filmmaker mode, and 50Hz refresh rate.
  • On the audio side, you get 20W 2.0 channel speaker setup along with OTS Lite and Q-symphony. 
  • Here, you also get Tizen OS with Bixby and free live TV channels via Samsung TV Plus. You get 7 years of OS upgrades here, too.
  • The gaming is aided by ALLM, VRR, Game Motion Plus, and AI Auto Game mode.
  • There are 3 HDMI with eARC, 1 USB-A, and Bluetooth 5.2.

  • The Sony Bravia 2 brings with it Sony’s X1 picture processor, and it runs on the Google TV UI, giving you access to all popular streaming services. It also supports eARC to connect a soundbar and ALLM for console gaming. The TV, however, misses out on support for Dolby Vision and comes with just 1 USB port.

  • The MI L43MA-AUIN runs on the Google TV UI along with Xiaomi’s own PatchWall UI. The TV also comes with 200+ free channels, along with support for all popular OTT apps. It is a 4K TV with support for HDR 10 and Dolby Vision. It supports eARC along with ALLM, and comes with 3 HDMI ports. The remote control also lacks a mute button.
