“Samsung QLED TV’s proprietary 8K AI Upscaling technology upscales the picture quality to 8K regardless of the source quality”
Samsung has launched the world’s first QLED 8K TVs in India, and these will be available in four sizes – 98-inch, 82-inch, 75-inch, and 65-inch. These TVs come with 8K Resolution, 8K AI Upscaling, Quantum Processor 8K, and Quantum HDR. The 33 million pixels provide sharper resolution and offer true-to-life picture quality. The proprietary 8K AI Upscaling technology, based on machine learning, powered with Quantum processor 8K is claimed to upscale the picture and sound quality to 8K regardless of the source quality or format. There’s also Ambient Mode that enables users to apply an interactive background while displaying information such as weather and time when it’s idle.
Furthermore, Samsung QLED 8K TVs utilise the Quantum Processor 8K that optimises audio and video of the content. It also creates a more detailed sound experience by tailoring the audio settings to the particular layout of the room. The Quantum Processor 4K is said to deliver improved brightness, picture quality and sound optimised for each scene. The new TVs come with Bixby, and Google Assistant for hands-free voice controls and the One Remote Controls with far-field voice capability lets users use voice commands to control their TV. Additionally, the Samsung TVs also support Apple AirPlay 2 that will enable users to play content from the Apple devices.
Samsung’s QLED 8K 75-inch model is priced at Rs 10,99,900, the 82-inch variants costs Rs 16,99,900 respectively. The 98-inch QLED 8K TV sets you back by Rs 59,99,900 and will only be made to order. Lastly, the 65-inch model would be available for purchase in July. These will be available through Samsung Smart Plazas, electronic stores and across online platforms, including Samsung’s official online store Samsung Shop.
