Samsung has launched new The Serif and the ultra-premium QLED 8K TV lineup in India. While The Serif smart TV lineup is focused on lifestyle, the Samsung QLED 8K TV 2020 series aims to elevate the viewing experience of the user. The 8K TV lineup touts an ultra-thin form factor, 8K picture quality, and surround-sound audio system. It even features ‘Infinity Screen’ that bears an astounding 99 percent screen-to-body ratio, Q-Symphony, Object Tracking Sound+ (OTS+), and Active Voice Amplifier (AVA) to provide an immersive sound experience.
The Samsung Serif series, on the other hand, flaunts a unique unibody design in the shape of ‘I’. It has inbuilt NFC technology for seamless entertainment, Quantum Dot Technology, and HDR10+ support. The TV is claimed to detect distracting noises and automatically adjusts volume and clarity in real-time. The Serif upscales everything to 4K picture quality by analysing each scene of the content using its AI Upscaling technology, Samsung said in its press release. There is also 100 percent Color Volume, Quantum Processor 4K, and HDR 10+. Other features include AirPlay 2 compatibility for voice commands, Personal Computer Mode, content guide, Auto Hotspot, and Home Cloud.
Apart from this, both TV series support a wide range of OTT platforms such as YouTube, Amazon Prime, Netflix, ZEE5, SonyLIV, and Voot, among others.

The TVs will be available initially via Amazon.in, Samsung’s official online store Samsung Shop, and select Samsung Smart Plazas. Customers purchasing the Serif from Amazon will get a special price for the first 10 days, from July 8th to July 17th.

The Samsung Ultra 8K TV will be available at all Samsung Smart Plazas, leading consumer electronic stores, and across online platforms such as Samsung’s official online store. Samsung has announced that customers will get two Galaxy S20+ smartphones on pre-booking the ultra-premium QLED 8K TV between July 1st and July 10th. They can also avail cashback of Rs 15,000 on QLED 8K TVs through their HDFC Bank and ICICI Bank debit and credit cards as well as Federal Bank debit card.
Both Samsung Ultra 8K TV and The Serif will be available with 10-year screen burn-in warranty, one-year comprehensive warranty, and a one-year additional warranty on the panel.
