The Samsung W2019 smartphone has gone official after a series of leaks over the past few weeks. Like its predecessors, the new Samsung W2019 has two AMOLED screens as well as a flip phone design and is available in China only. It is a premium Samsung smartphone with the flagship Snapdragon 845 processor, up to 256GB storage, and dual rear cameras. Details about the Samsung W2019 price and release date are not known at the moment.

The Samsung W2019 has two 4.2-inch full-HD Super AMOLED displays on either side of the flip panel. Android 8.1 Oreo-based custom skin is present on the phone, with a dedicated Bixby button to call the digital assistant. There’s the Snapdragon 845 SoC with 6GB of RAM as standard, and buyers will be able to choose between 128GB and 256GB storage options. The handset also supports microSD cards of up to 512GB capacity.

Samsung W2019 sports two 12MP sensors on the back, one with variable aperture of f/1.5-2.4 and the other with 2x lossless optical zoom. The front camera has an 8MP sensor with f/2.0 aperture. Connectivity features on the device will include 4G LTE, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.2, NFC, microUSB 3.1, GPS, and ANT+. There is a fingerprint sensor on the side of the handset. It weighs a hefty 257 grams and has a 3,070mAh battery.

In terms of design, the Samsung W2019 is made using anodised aluminium and glass and sports a diamond-cut design. However, it is rather thick at 17.3mm with the clamshell closed. Buyers can choose between Silver and Rose Gold colour options.
