“The Samsung W2019 is said to have a 4.2-inch primary display and 3,000mAh battery, along with dual-SIM support”
Samsung is likely to launch its new W-series flip phone pretty soon. The handset, allegedly dubbed as the Samsung W2019, has been the subject of multiple leaks and rumours. A couple of days back the phone was certified by TENAA in China, and now, it has popped up again on the certification agency’s website, revealing its display size and battery capacity.
As per the leaked TENAA listing that has since been taken down, the Samsung W2019 – the successor to the last year’s W2018 – will feature a 4.2-inch main display. If you recall, the handset is expected to come with two screens. Unfortunately, the size of the second display is not known at the moment. Moving on, a 3,000mAh battery is tipped to fuel the device, which is 700mAh more than that of its predecessor. Other listed features include Android OS, dual SIM slots, and connectivity options like Bluetooth and Wi-Fi.
The other details about the handset are scarce at the moment; however, rumours are that it could employ Qualcomm’s flagship Snapdragon 845 SoC under the hood. Moreover, the displays of the phone are reported to be guarded by Gorilla Glass 5 protection. Samsung is reported to include a side-mounted fingerprint sensor on the W2019 along with dedicated Bixby button and dual-rear camera setup.
The launch date and price of the smartphone hasn’t been revealed yet, but just like its predecessor, the Samsung W2019 is also expected to be China exclusive. Stay tuned to 91mobiles, to get more details about the flip smartphone.
