Select Airtel prepaid plans will now offer 400MB of extra data

“The new offer is applicable across three prepaid plans and also feature additional benefits”

In a bid to gain more subscribers, Indian Telco Airtel has increased the data benefits on some of its prepaid plans. The carrier has announced that it would be adding an additional 400MB of daily data to the Rs 399, Rs 448, and the Rs 499 prepaid plans. This is great news for users who like to consume media on their devices while on the move. Thanks to this new offer, users can get up to 2.4GB of data with the Rs 499 plan per day.

Airtel’s official website still hasn’t added the new offers, but reports suggest that the additional data is now available to users. As mentioned before, the offer is applicable on select prepaid plans. First, the Rs 399 plan, which used to offer 1GB of data earlier, will now give users a total of 1.4GB data. That is, 1.4GB of daily data, with the plan being valid for 84 days. It’s still a little expensive when compared to Jio’s offer, where you can get 1.5GB of data for Rs 349. Still, Airtel seems to be catching up.

Next up, the Rs 448 plan, which now offers daily data usage of 1.9GB, up from the 1.5GB data limit. This plan is valid for a total of 82 days, which is two days short of the previous plan. Apart from the additional 400MB of extra data, this offer will also come with a subscription to Airtel TV Premium and Wynk Music. Users will also get a device cashback offer and one year of Norton Mobile Security.

Finally, there’s the Rs 499 plan, which will now provide users with 2.4GB of daily data. This pack used to provide 2GB of data. Alongside the additional data, you will also receive benefits such as free Airtel TV subscription with over 350 live channels and 10,000 movies. You can also get a Rs 2,000 cashback if you purchase a new 4G phone. Apart from these benefits, you get similar offers that are available on the other two plans. All three plans still provide unlimited voice calling and 100 SMS per day. The additional benefits are applicable via the Airtel Thanks program.
