Sharp Aquos R3 with two notches and 120Hz display goes official

“The Sharp Aquos R3 has one notch housing the selfie camera and another one for fingerprint scanner”

While all smartphone brands are working on ditching the notch, Sharp has launched a new smartphone with not one but two distinct display notches. The company recently announced its Sharp Aquos R3, which comes with one of the most impressive displays around but with a dual notch. The phone has a waterdrop notch on top and a wider notch at the bottom.

The top notch on the smartphone is home to its selfie shooter, whereas, the bottom one accommodates the physical fingerprint scanner. Apart from this, the screen on the Aquos R3 is a 6.2-inch QHD Pro IGZO display unit that flaunts 120Hz refresh rate. Notably, this is the highest refresh rate on smartphones so far and it should result in overall smoothness and touch input of the handset. Additionally, the peculiar design of the smartphone has allowed the manufacturer to offer the Aquos R3 with front-firing speakers. The speakers are also backed by Dolby Atmos surround sound technology.
