Simple Energy has launched the much anticipated Simple One premium electric scooter in India after the EV was first unveiled back in 2021. The Simple One premium electric scooter gets India’s largest battery pack fitted to a scooter and boasts of a claimed IDC range of 212km on a single charge. The premium electric scooter looks sporty and gets large disc brakes, a 7-inch coloured TFT display, riding modes, 30L storage and more.

Simple One electric scooter price in India

The Simple One electric scooter has been launched at Rs 1.45 lakh (ex-showroom) in India. The top variant will set one back for Rs 1.50 lakh (ex-showroom). The company will also be offering an optional 750W fast charger on the top variant. This optional accessory can be had for Rs 13,000 from September 2023 onwards.

The company aims to begin deliveries from June 6th 2023 onwards and expects to set up dealer touchpoints across 140 to 150 locations across India in the coming eight to 10 months.

Simple One specifications

  • Electric motor: 8.5kW peak power output and 4.5kW nominal output. 72Nm peak torque output.
  • Battery pack: One fixed 3.3kW battery pack in the floorboard and an additional removable battery pack under the seat. The total capacity of 5kWh.
  • Range: 212km of IDC-certified range
  • Charging: Zero to 80 percent in 5 hr 54 min. Fast charging at 1.5km/min up to 80 percent.
  • Fast charging support: Yes
  • Performance: Zero to 40kmph in 2.77 seconds and a top speed of 105kmph.
