There are more than 70 smartphones launching this year that’ll have the flagship Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 SoC ticking at their core. Already we’ve seen the chipset on a handful of smartphones, including Samsung Galaxy S20 series, Realme X50 Pro, and iQOO 3. In a press release, Qualcomm said that there are more devices set to be released using the Snapdragon 865 platform. The list includes Black Shark 3, Nubia Red Magic 5G, Redmi K30 Pro, ZenFone 7, ROG Phone 3, OPPO Find X2, FCNT arrows 5G, and Legion Gaming Phone, among others.
Additionally, more than 1,750 designs have been announced or are in development based on our Snapdragon 8-series mobile platforms. “Global original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) and brands ASUS, Black Shark, Fujitsu Connected Technologies Limited, iQOO, Lenovo, Nubia, OPPO, realme, Redmi, Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd, Sharp Corporation, Sony, Vivo, Xiaomi and ZTE have selected the Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 5G Mobile Platform for their 5G device launches this year,” said the chipmaker.
The Snapdragon 865 chipset is touted as the world’s most advanced mobile platform, designed to deliver the unmatched connectivity and performance. The chipset also features the company’s second-generation 5G Snapdragon X55 modem for the latest cellular connectivity support and fifth-gen Qualcomm AI engine.
