Sony Xperia XZ Premium, XA1 Ultra and XA1 Plus receive a price drop of up to Rs 10,000

Sony recently announced its latest flagship smartphone called the Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium. It’s the brand’s first offering to come with dual rear cameras and also boast 4K HDR movie recording capabilities. Now, before its launch in the country, the brand has dropped the price of its last-gen flagship, the Xperia XZ Premium (first impressions). It has also reduced the prices of the Xperia XA1 Ultra (first impressions) and Xperia XA1 Plus (first impressions).

The Sony Xperia XZ Premium has received a significant price cut of Rs 10,000, and it can now be picked up for Rs 49,990. With a price drop of Rs 5,000, the Xperia XA1 Ultra will now be available for Rs 27,990. Lastly, the Xperia XA1 Plus also gets a discount of Rs 5,000 and is now available for Rs 19,990. The new prices of these smartphones are permanent and effective starting today in India.

To recap on the Sony Xperia XZ Premium, the erstwhile flagship comes with a 5.5-inch 4K HDR TRILUMINOS Display and X-Reality mobile picture engine. The smartphone is powered by Snapdragon 835 processor, backed by 4GB of RAM and Adreno 540 graphics. There is 64GB of storage onboard, which can be further expanded using a microSD card. In the optics department, the smartphone gets a 19-megapixel camera with the capability of recording 960fps slow-motion video. For selfies, there’s a 13-megapixel snapper at the front. The phone boots Android Nougat out of the box, and is powered by a 3,230mAh battery with Qnovo Adaptive charging.
