“The Xperia XZ4 is expected to be the first flagship from Sony to come with a triple camera module”
Sony unveiled its latest flagship Xperia XZ3 (first impressions) at the IFA this year. The launch arrived barely half a year after the launch of the Xperia XZ2 and Xperia XZ2 Compact. Now, once again, not even half a year has passed and leaks regarding the upcoming Xperia XZ4 have started pouring in. MySmartPrice has collaborated with noted tipster, @onleaks to release CAD-based renders and a 360-degree video of the upcoming smartphone.
The leak reveals both CAD-based renders as well as high-resolution 5K renders of the upcoming flagship. The images reveal that Sony is still ticking to the notch-less design and Xperia XZ4 will come with the conventional 18:9 aspect ratio. The display of Xperia XZ4 is expected to measure 6.5-inch and will not curve on the sides like it’s predecessor. Physically, the Xperia XZ4 is tipped to measure 166.9 x 72.4 x 8.2mm and 9mm at its thickest point that is the camera bump.
Moving to the rear panel, the smartphone is seen sporting a triple camera module towards the centre of the panel. Notably, this makes the Xperia XZ4 the first smartphone from the brand to came with three cameras in tow. For selfies, there is a single camera on the front. Unfortunately, details of the camera sensors on the handset are not known at the moment. Further, the XZ4 is seen sporting power button, camera shutter button, and volume buttons on the right-hand side. Since we cannot see the fingerprint scanner, it’s likely to be embedded inside the power button. At the bottom, we can see USB Type-C port and speaker grille, whereas the SIM tray is on the top. Sony seems to be finally ditching the 3.5mm audio jack this year.
As of now, there is no word on when the smartphone will be launched. However, knowing Sony, we can expect the launch to be during MWC 2019 in February.
