The device has been in and out of the rumour mill for the past few weeks. Most recently, the specifications of the handset – including its chipset, display, software, and configurations – were leaked. Now, details about the Xperia XZ4’s camera have surfaced online. The setup will include a whopping 52-megapixel (f/1.6) primary sensor – the highest on any smartphone breaking the 48-megapixel benchmark set by Redmi Note 7 and Huawei View 20. The sensor will allegedly be paired with a 16-megapixel f/2.6 telephoto lens and a 0.3-megapixel f/1.4 ToF camera. The latter’s purpose is to help phone with Augmented Reality (AR) and raise the speed of autofocus. The LED flash for low light photography could be placed at the top of the camera module.
Don’t get too excited here as the leak could be a hoax. It’s worth mentioning that the image taken by the source is a render based on CAD drawings that were previously leaked. Since they don’t reflect the final hardware design, we’d advise the take the news with a pinch of salt.

The handset is expected to be driven by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 855 chipset, accompanied by 6GB of RAM and 128GB internal storage.
