Sony Xperia Z5, Z5 Premium and Z3+ getting Android Marshmallow update in India

Sony has announced the rollout of the Android Marshmallow update for the Xperia Z5, Xperia Z5 Premium and Xperia Z3+ smartphones in India. The news was announced on Sony’s official India Twitter handle. The update has first hit the Xperia Z5, and weighs around 1,280MB. It brings enhanced performance, a new camera interface and more.

As per the official change-log, the Android Marshmallow update brings enhanced privacy settings to let you manage and control your application data permissions. The new camera interface lets you easily switch between modes and customise settings with simple gestures. The update brings the battery saving Doze mode, improved Xperia Messaging with easy in-app access to stickers, and Direct Share.

While the aforementioned features are available in the update released for the Xperia Z5, they are expected to apply to the Xperia Z5 Premium and Z3+ as well. The update is being rolled out over-the-air in phases.
