“The Konnect 4G is being touted as the country’s most affordable VoLTE-enabled smartphone”

Earlier this month, Swipe Telecom launched the Elite Star with 4G, VoLTE, and support for 12 Indian languages for Rs 3,333. Today, the company has launched yet another budget smartphone in the country called the Swipe Konnect 4G. Priced at Rs 2,799, the phone is being touted as the country’s most affordable smartphone with 4G and VoLTE (voice over LTE) support.

The Swipe Konnect 4G sports a compact 4-inch WVGA display, and is powered by a 1.5GHz quad-core processor of unknown make. It comes with 512MB of RAM and 4GB of internal memory, which can be further increased up to 32GB by inserting a microSD card. For imaging, it gets a 5MP rear snapper with an LED flash, and a 1.3MP front shooter. The device boots Android Marshmallow, and is fuelled by a 2,000mAh battery.

The Swipe Konnect 4G comes in a single black hue, and is available exclusively on Shopclues. The phone will be competing against the likes of the LYF Flame 7, Flame 6, and the Lava 88, which all also are sub-Rs 4,000 4G-enabled devices.
