“Tambo has launched three smartphones featuring selfie flash and 4G VoLTE support”
Just yesterday, BRITZO-backed iVVO entered the Indian mobile market with the launch of a handful of feature phones and a couple of Android Oreo (Go edition)-powered smartphones. Now today, yet another company that goes by the name Tambo has debuted in the same segment. The newly-entrant brand has marked its foray in the market with three smartphones under the Superphones series and six feature phones under the Powerphones series.
Talking about the brand’s smartphone’s first, the company has launched the Tambo TA 2, TA 3 and TA 4. All three Tambo smartphones offer 4G and VoLTE (voice over LTE) connectivity, and dedicated LED selfie flash units at budget prices. The TA 3 and TA 4 smartphones also come with rear-mounted fingerprint sensors. All three phones also get support for the face unlock feature and come with 5MP selfie cameras.
As for the Tambo TA 2, the phone offers a 2.5D curved glass above the display. The handset is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core processor of unknown make. The TA 3 model comes with 16GB of native storage, and is available in multiple hues. The Tambo TA 4 flaunts a 5.5-inch display, and is powered by a 1.25GHz quad-core processor of unknown make. Apart from the 5MP selfie snapper, the device also gets an 8MP rear shooter. Powering the phone is a 3,000mAh battery.
Coming to the feature phones, the company has launched six devices under the Powerphones series. These include the Tambo S 2440, S 2430, A 2400, P 1850, A 1810, and A 1800. As per the brand, “Tambo’s Powerphones will have features like dedicated music keys, time talker, 60-day battery standby, 22 Language support among others, making it useful for a diverse segment of people“.As per the brand, the Tambo smartphones and feature phones will be priced between Rs 600 and Rs 7,000. They will be available to buy via major brick and mortar stores across the country.
