Netflix is now available on Tata Play Binge+ combo packs

Netflix will be available on Tata Play through the Tata Binge+ service.

Tata Sky has been rebranded to Tata Play. And now, Tata Play has tied up with Netflix to offer the OTT service in its Tata Binge+ combo packs. Tata Binge offers standard TV channels, Netflix, and other OTT platforms like Disney+Hotstar, Amazon Prime Video, Zee5, and ErosNow, all through a single combination combo plan. Users need a Tata Play Binge+ Smart set-top box to use the service. Folks using the regular set-top box will not be able to access the Binge+ service. The service will be available via 90 bundles. However, the details are yet to be revealed by the company.

Tata Play announced in a press release, “Tata Play, our refreshed brand, comes with the promise of making entertainment even more jingalala, and addition of Netflix is a headway in that direction. The Netflix Combo proposition is a first of its kind, where Tata Play subscribers get to choose their favourite TV Channel pack along with Netflix and pay just one bill.”

Users will be able to access the OTT services via home screen and the remote proved with the set-top box. The user will have the option to choose Netflix’s basic, standard, and premium packages with the combo plan. Netflix says all the Netflix original content will be accessible to the Tata Play subscribers. Users can pay for the plan directly through the Tata Play wallet.

“Our partnership with Tata Play will make it easier for customers to subscribe to Netflix and enjoy high-quality video streaming around India. We look forward to entertaining more Indian entertainment fans with a wide variety of high-quality Netflix shows,” said APAC at Netflix.

The Binge+ Smart set-top box is available at Rs 2,499 without the OTT apps. It comes with 2GB RAM and 8GB storage that allows to record up to 25hours of media, a built-in Chromecast, voice search remote, and 1080p Full HD+ resolution. Users can also access the regular TV channels and apps from the Google Play store via the set-top box.

The plan also offers OTT platforms like Disney+Hotstar, Amazon Prime Video, Zee5, and ErosNow, but the user has to pay Rs 299 monthly to access them. In case the user has an existing subscription to the OTT service, they can simply log in and access it.
