The premium TV from the brand also sports a 55-inch bezel-less screen with ART5 laser cutting technology, which is said to offer stability to the panel and prevent light bleeding. While the company hasn’t announced the price of the 55-inch TCL P8E smart TV, it’s said to be available via across the country.

Commenting on the launch, TCL India Country Manager Mike Chen, said “We are excited to bring India’s very first 4K AI Android 9 Smart TV with Handsfree (Farfield) technology. The latest launch carries our 38 years of legacy forward, serving industry-leading innovations in AI and IoT to serve an integrated and immersive experience, within a price bracket that feels comfortable. As for the specifications, the TCL P8E is an Android TV that boots on the latest version of the OS called Android 9 Pie and adds support to Google Play, YouTube, and other apps. The TV is integrated with far-field technology – an AI-based voice search engine for hands-free control. “This allows users to control the TV, turning it on or off, switch channels, and making program reservations,” the company said in a press release.

The 55-inch display of the smart TV supports HDR Pro for perfect picture quality and immersive viewing. At its core lies a quad-core A53 1.5Hz processor coupled with 2.5GB of RAM and 16GB storage. Other features include built-in Chromecast support to cast the screen of your smartphones to the TV, Netflix, DTS Premium and Dolby Audio, and slim form factor.
