Smartphone brand Tecno announced its much-awaited, Tecno Spark 8 back in September this year. Now a new variant of the smartphone, this time with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage, has been launched by the company. The new Tecno Spark 8 variant comes at a price of Rs 10,999 in the Indian market. Buyers of this new variant will also receive a free Bluetooth headset worth Rs 799, alongside a one-time free screen replacement. The smartphone will be available in Atlantic Blue, Turquoise Cyan, and Iris Purple colour options across all retail outlets and Amazon in the country.
This is the third variant of the Tecno Spark 8, which already comes in 2GB + 64GB (Rs 7,999) and 3GB + 32GB (Rs 9,299) configurations.
Tecno Spark 8 specifications
The smartphone is powered by the MediaTek Helio G25 chipset paired with up to 4GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 64GB eMMC 5.1 internal storage. The storage is further expandable up to 256GB via a dedicated microSD card slot. There’s also a HyperEngine technology onboard that is claimed to provide a seamless gaming experience.
The Tecno Spark 8 features a dual-camera setup on the back, comprising of a 16MP primary sensor with f/1.8 aperture and quad-LED flash and AI lens, with the details of the other camera sensor unknown. It comes with features like AI Beauty, smile shot, AI portrait, HDR, AR Shot, filters, time-lapse, panorama, slow motion, video Bokeh, among others. There is an 8MP snapper on the front with dual flash for enhanced selfies and video chats in low lighting conditions.
Further, the Tecno Spark 8 packs a 5,000mAh battery and boots Android 11 OS out of the box with HiOS 7.6 custom skin. Connectivity features include dual 4G LTE support, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, and GPS. The smartphone measures 164.82×76.05×8.85mm.
Tecno Spark 8 features a waterdrop notch for the selfie snapper, narrow bezels, and a rectangular rear module that houses dual camera sensors and an LED flash. The rear panel, interestingly, features a fingerprint sensor embedded in the camera module.
