The Last of Us Part 1 remake is launching really soon for PS5 on September 2nd. Developer Naughty Dog has now shared details about the various accessibility options as well as in-game settings for the remake, which will enhance the gameplay experience on PS5. The developer says that the features added in The Last of Us Part 2 were set as a baseline for The Last of Us Part 1 remake and then these options were evolved further. The most remarkable accessibility feature in the remake is the one that “plays dialogue through the PS5 DualSense controller as haptic feedback.” This would help a deaf player feel the way a dialogue is delivered alongside the on-screen subtitles. The Last of Us remake will come 3 accessibility presets that contain several accessibility settings to support blind players, deaf players, and players who have motor accessibility needs.

1. Vision accessibility preset

The vision accessibility preset will configure recommended settings added for players who are blind or have low vision. Applying this preset will enable several settings across various menus, which are listed below:

Along with these, The Last of Us Part 1 remake will feature various settings to customize controls, HUD, visuals, camera shake, motion blur, FOV, navigation and traversal, subtitles, text-to-speech, and more. Besides these, the game will have expanded difficulty options, each of which will have six challenge levels including Very Light, Light, Moderate, Hard, Survivor, and Grounded. You will be able to adjust difficulty settings related to enemy and ally effectiveness, incoming damage, resources, and stealth.
