This Valentine’s Day, fans of late filmmaker Yash Raj Chopra, will get a chance to relive his legacy via a four-part docu-series called, “The Romantics”. The series is now streaming on OTT platform across India. The Romantics pays tribute to the late filmmaker Yash Chopra who was known for his masterful creations in the romance genre. The web series has been directed by Oscar and Emmy-nominated filmmaker Smriti Mundhrs. It brings along 35 prominent celebrity icons, including Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, Rani Mukherji, Juhi Chawla, Madhuri Dixit, and more, in a bid to pay homage to 50 years of cinematic history.

The Romantics docu-series plot details
The Smriti Mundhra-directed The Romantics is a tribute to the late filmmaker Yash Raj Chopra who is often regarded as the ‘Father of Romance’. The four-part series captures the 50-year-old legacy of YRF Entertainment in which the late Yash Raj Chopra and his Aditya Chopra pivoted the Bollywood film industry towards romance. The docu-series brings along some of the biggest names in Bollywood, both young and old, to share their experiences of having worked with the late Yash Raj Chopra, draw insights into this journey and also map how movie stars became household names courtesy of YRF.
Where to watch The Romantics docu-series online?
The Romantics will be streaming on Netflix from February 14th 2023 onwards. Viewers can watch the docu-series on the OTT platform with an active membership plan.
Netflix currently offers a choice of four plans in India and has recently introduced a price cut to make its offers more lucrative. The base or Mobile plan allows one user access to mobile screen streaming for a monthly price of Rs 149. Viewers availing of this plan can view content in Standard Definition (SD) only. The highest plan currently allows a total of six screens and compatibility across four devices. Viewers can enjoy the content at Ultra HD resolution and benefit from Netflix’s Spatial Audio technology. This plan is called the Premium plan and sets one back for Rs 649 a month.
