The Witcher Season 3 OTT release date

The Witcher Season 3 is scheduled to start streaming on June 29th on Netflix. It will be a two-part series with volume 1 streaming on June 29th and volume 2 streaming on July 27th. There will be a total of eight episodes in The Witcher Season 3.

What to expect from The Witcher Season 3

According to Netflix, in the upcoming season of The Witcher, fans will finally see Geralt “reckoning with his feelings after two seasons of steely, tough-guy detachment.” The trailer also focuses on this with Geralt saying, “Now, for the first time, I understand real fear.”

This is because in this Geralt realises that Yennefer and Ciri are indeed his family, and the loves of his life. This is also going to become the foundation for the rest of his life as Geralt, and also for the rest of the show. We can also see Geralt, Ciri and Yennefer calling each other out in the trailer.

“For years, Geralt has claimed neutrality, shunned politics and publicly asserted that witchers don’t have emotions — all to make his life as a killer easier to navigate. We’ve seen him battle monsters and monstrous humans; we’ve watched as he’s hardened himself in order to survive. This season, he can no longer do that,” Lauren Schmidt Hissrich was quoted as saying by Netflix.

In this season, fans can expect the same tumultuous journey the three have had so far where they’ve tried to unite together as a family. Hissrich teases fans by saying that the trio will be finally together as a family but if that bond will last or not is something that we’ll have to wait and watch.

The Witcher Season 3 will also see the return of Joey Batey as Jaskier, Anna Shaffer as Triss Merigold, MyAnna Buring as Tissaia de Vries, Eamon Farren as Cahir, and more. So there’s a lot to look forward in the latest season. This is also the last season for Henry Cavill playing the role of Geralt. Liam Hemsworth will replace him starting with The Witcher Season 4.
