E-commerce giant Amazon has launched the third generation of its Amazon Fire TV Cube streaming device that comes with several improvements over its predecessor. Alongside the Amazon Fire TV Cube, the company has also launched a new Amazon Voice Remote Pro, which is a premium remote for AmazonFire TV devices.
Amazon Fire TV Cube price in India, availability
The all new Amazon Fire TV Cube has been launched at a price of Rs 13,999 in India. The streaming device will go on sale “soon.” Amazon has not announced the exact date as to when the Amazon Fire TV will come to India, but you can register to get notified as soon as the new Fire TV Cube is available on Amazon.
Amazon Fire TV Cube feature and specifications
The new Amazon Fire TV Cube has been launched with a new 2.0Ghz processor that is claimed to be 20 percent more powerful than the previous generation. The new Amazon Fire TV Cube also comes with support for cinematic 4K Ultra HD content along with Dolby Vision, HDR, and for audio, the Amazon Fire TV Cube comes with Dolby Atmos.
The Amazon Fire TV Cube also comes with Super Resolution Upscaling, a technology that uses software tricks to offer an enhanced picture quality by converting HD content in 4K, improving the detail, contrast, and clarity on the display.
The new streaming device from Amazon also comes with Wi-Fi 6 connectivity, along with an Ethernet port, in case a user wants to connect LAN to their Amazon Fire TV Cube. Of course, there is hands-free Alexa, offering users the ability to give voice commands.
Amazon Remote Pro price and specifications
Amazon has also launched the standalone remote for its Fire TV devices. The remote, called the Amazon Remote Pro, is priced at Rs 2,499 in India and comes with features like a Remote Finder, Customisable Buttons, and motion-activated backlights that light up the buttons when a user picks up the remote for using in the dark.
Amazon last night held its fall event where the company launched the next generation of its devices including a new Kindle, the new Fire TV Cube, along with a second-generation Echo Auto device, and more. Some of the key launches from Amazon’s fall event include the new Kindle Scribe, a new fifth-generation Echo Dot smart speaker, an Echo Auto device that bring Amazon and Alexa smarts to your car, and a new bedside smart lamp named the Halo Rise.
