The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip is yet to be officially announced, but that has not stopped case makers from going bonkers over it already. While we are sure to see some interesting themes and graphics in cases for the Galaxy Z Flip once it is launched, one Russian jeweller has already hit the ball out of the park by unveiling a rather blingy, villainy version of the phone. The device will be officially called Caviar Samsung Galaxy Z Flip Joker & Harley Quinn, and features 24-karat gold encasing for the phone, with two themes embossed on either half of the Galaxy Z Flip – the Joker and Harley Quinn, just as the name suggests.
Whether or not it seems classy to you would be completely down to your taste in style, but what we can say for sure is that it is a marked improvement over what Caviar is typically seen doing. The Russian jewellery brand has typically produced rather garish mods of popular smartphones, such as multiple of Apple’s iPhones. However, there is no said improvement in the pricing of this thing. While the standard Galaxy Z Flip’s price will only be known once Samsung launches the device on February 11th, the Caviar edition is going to cost you a staggering $5,210 (~Rs 3,72,000).
To keep matters high and exclusive, Caviar’s villain-themed, gold encrusted version of the Galaxy Z Flip will have only 54 units ever made, so if this is your kind of modding, you should go right ahead and purchase it before your fellow millionaires lap it up. The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip is expected to be fairly pricey in itself as it is – the smartphone will come as Samsung’s second generation effort behind making a foldable phone, one which Samsung will hope does not fall into any controversy.
With a field season ahead for fancy, expensive smartphones, it remains to be seen which other brands does Caviar give the over the top gold treatment. The Galaxy Z Flip will likely be followed by various gold cases for the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S20 as well, so if you miss out on this one, worry not.
