TVS Motor Company has updated its iQube premium electric scooter for 2022 and has introduced two new variants to the scooter’s lineup, besides lowering its starting price. TVS iQube has been updated to bring it up to speed with current times and two new variants, S and ST, have joined the lineup. The new iQube brings along more features, more range and even a fast charging option on the top-spec variant. The e-scooter will be available across 85 cities nationwide up from the previous 33 cities it was available in.

The TVS iQube 2022 gets a claimed range of up to 140km and up to 82kmph top speed. The new iQube also gets Alexa-enabled infotainment system integrated into a TFT display. 

TVS iQube India price, availability, booking amount

The 2022 TVS iQube starts at Rs 98,564 (on-road Delhi) and Rs 1.1 lakh (on-road Bengaluru). The mid-spec S variant can be had for Rs 1.08 lakh (on-road Delhi) while it would cost Rs 1.19 lakh (on-road Bengaluru). TVS has not yet announced prices for the top-of-the-line ST trim. However, one can book the variant for a Rs 999 token booking amount. 

The 2020 TVS i-Qube was launched in India for Rs 1.15 lakh (on-road Bengaluru) and was available in 33 cities across the country. With the launch of the 2022 updated lineup, TVS Motor Company will be selling the iQube in 85 cities across India. 

TVS iQube specifications 

The TVS iQube utilises a 4.4kW motor like the outgoing model and propels the scooter from standstill to 40kmph in just 4.2 seconds. The scooter can achieve a top speed of 78kmph while the top-spec ST model can cruise at a slightly higher 82kmph. The e-scooter continues with the Economy and Power riding modes and TVS says that it has reworked the throttle response and fine-tuned the Economy mode. TVS i-Qube also continues to get the Q-Park Assist reverse mode for assisting one out of a tricky parking spot. 

The claimed range on the 2022 TVS iQube has seen a boost with the introduction of a new 3.4kWh battery pack. Earlier the iQube’s motor was paired to a 2.2kWh battery pack that delivered a certified range of 75k. The 2022 iQube base and S variants get 100km of range. The range-topping ST variant benefits from an even larger 5.1kWh battery pack which paired with the motor delivers a claimed 145km range. 

In terms of charging, the 2020 iQube charges at 650W and 950W; however, the top-spec ST variant is capable of fast charging at 1.5kW. 

TVS iQube features

The 2022 TVS iQube also sees a revised feature list and gets multiple paint schemes. The base variant of the TVS iQube comes with a 5-inch TFT display as its central MID. The variant is now available in three paint shades – Shining Red, Titanium Grey and Pearl White. 

The 2022 TVS iQube S variant gets a larger 7-inch TFT colour display as MID hub and gets four colour options – Mercury Grey, Mint Blue, Lucid Yellow and Copper Bronze. The top-spec ST trim gets the 7-inch TFT touchscreen display with a revised interface, 32 litres of under-seat storage and fast charging provision. One can choose from Starlight Blue, Titanium Grey (matte), Coral Sand and Copper Bronze (matte) paint shade options. 

The scooters get TVS SmartXonnect platform that allows connected vehicle features. The scooters now also get Amazon Alexa connectivity which allows users to request for battery charge status via connected home devices.
