However, there is still a section of users who still crave compact phones. To cater to that audience, Unihertz Jelly Max is here as the world’s smallest 5G phone. The handset launched its crowdfunding campaign on Kickstarter.

The Unihertz Jelly Max, the world’s smallest 5G phone is priced at an early bird price of just $199 (around Rs 16,700). As said, the crowdfunding campaign for the handset has started on Kickstarter. The phone will start shipping in October this year.

The Unihertz Jelly Max sports a 5.05-inch HD+ LCD display with 720 x 1520 pixels resolution and a punch-hole cutout for the selfie shooter. For context, the iPhone 13 mini (which was the last mini iPhone from Apple) has a bigger 5.4-inch screen. Despite the tiny form factor, the phone weighs around 180 grams. While the iPhone 13 mini weighs just 140 grams.
The handset is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7300 processor, which is quite powerful and can run pretty much anything. The chipset is paired with 12GB LPDDR5x RAM and 256GB UFS 3.1 storage. The phone runs on Android 14 OS out of the box.
For optics, the Unihertz Jelly Max packs a 100MP primary camera and an 8MP telephoto lens. We have a 32MP shooter on the front for selfies and video calls. The phone packs a 4000mAh battery and there’s 66W fast charging. The phone is claimed to charge up to 90 percent in just 20 minutes.
Connectivity options include 5G, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.4, NFC for contactless payments, and an infrared port. There is a side-mounted fingerprint sensor for security on the back panel.
