The streaming space is on fire as we see back-to-back Hindi movie releases on OTT platforms like Netflix, Prime Video, and Hotstar almost every few days. In March 2023, too, there are a ton of new releases coming up on your favourite streaming apps. From family drama Gulmohar, which marks Sharmila Tagore’s streaming debut to the Hindi version of Varisu and Anushka Sharma’s sports drama Chakda ‘Xpress, the next few weeks are going to be exciting. Bheed
Finally, we have a new film from director Anubhav Sinha hitting theatres this month. Bheed is the story of the hardships faced by India’s migrant population that had to pack up and leave their temporary homes for their home towns when India enforced a strict COVID-19 lockdown in early 2020. It has a special focus on all migrants who walked and hitched a ride home, taking days and weeks to desperately reach home in an uncertain atmosphere like that during the lockdowns. While the Bheed theatrical release date is set for March 24th, the movie is coming to Netflix soon. Usually OTT releases for Bollywood movies happen about two months after the theatre release, but we shall update you when we get an official update on the Netflix release.

Kuttey
Arjun Kapoor and Tabu star in this unique pairing on screen. Kuttey is the directorial debut of Aasman Bhardwaj, son of veteran filmmaker Vishal Bhardwaj, as he takes us through a twisted crime thriller where not everything is as simple as it seems. The story revolves around three gangs in Mumbai as they try to steal from a van carrying tons of money. But with the same plan, and a similar route, will greed get the better of everyone? Gaslight
One of the more recent movie announcements, Gaslight is coming to Hotstar this month. Featuring Sara Ali Khan and Vikrant Massey in lead roles, the film is yet another suspense thriller that has been kept under the wraps considering the creators are hinting a one-of-its-kind plot with this unique lead couple pairing. While not much is known, we do know that the movie shows people stuck in an elevator while the electricity goes off. Let’s just say, nothing has ever gone right in such situations, especially if no one comes to the rescue quickly. Expect a rollercoaster of a ride with this one.

Pathaan
Pathaan is Shah Rukh Khan’s big comeback in Bollywood. This spy thriller shows an Indian spy who is back from the dead to protect his country from a group of mercenaries who will do whatever it takes to create terror among citizens. He must think a step ahead of them and foil their plans before they are successful in executing it. The movie has been appreciated for its overboard action, superb acting performances, and peppy songs that make it the ultimate masala entertainer of 2023.
A new report by Times Now suggests that Pathaan will be released on Amazon Prime Video on March 22nd.

Gulmohar
Gulmohar is an interesting new watch coming to Disney Plus Hotstar. Marking the comeback of veteran actress Sharmila Tagore, this heartwarming family drama is about the events of the last few days as the Batra family moves to a new city from their 34-year-old home in Delhi. Co-written by Arpita Mukherjee and Chittella, and directed by the latter, this is indeed inspired by true events when the director lived at Mira Nair’s house in the capital.

Varisu (Hindi)
This Tamil superhit action drama is coming online, in the Hindi language. With a massive star cast that includes Vijay, Rashmika Mandanna, R Sarathkumar, Prabhu, Jayasudha, Prakash Raj, Srikanth, and Shaam, Varisu is the story of an offbeat story where the youngest son of three becomes the heir to a businessman’s fortunes, much to the disappointment by his older brothers. It involves medical issues, loss, love, and family drama as all three brothers fight it out to claim what is rightfully everyone’s.

With Anushka Sharma playing the role of the sportswoman, the movie explores the struggles and hardships of Jhulan Goswami and how she climbed up the ladder through her talent and hard work despite the misogynistic problems that plague Indian sports. It is the story of shaping a sportsperson’s talent and bringing her to the world stage for accolades.

Bhediya
Thriller, horror, and comedy are listed as the genres of this much-anticipated Bollywood movie starring Varun Dhawan and Kriti Sanon in lead roles, with Abhishek Banerjee in a supporting role. Set in the northeastern state of Arunachal Pradesh, Bhediya is what the title suggests it is. A man gets bitten by a wolf and transforms into a werewolf on the way to becoming an actual wolf. Hilarity ensues as his friends and family find out and try to help Bhaskar, the protagonist, out of this inevitable transformation.

Vikram Vedha
One of the biggest Bollywood movie releases of 2022, Vikram Vedha is likely coming to OTT in a few weeks. The Saif Ali Khan and Hrithik Roshan multi-starrer is a remake of the 2017 film of the same name, which further is inspired by the popular Indian folktale Baital. The story is of how a determined and solid police officer gets ready to take on equally competent gangsters in an attempt to catch the miscreants and bring justice to citizens. The movie, much like the original, received rave reviews from critics and audiences and was a box office success with collections of Rs 136 crores.

Chor Nikal Ke Bhaga
With Yami Gautam and Sharad Kelkar in lead roles, Chor Nikal Ke Bhaga is an exciting upcoming Netflix crime thriller from its Indian content slate. Releasing in late March, the movie tells the story of a flight attendant and her business partner who must steal on a plan to escape from a loan shark after them. But, high up in the air, the heist goes wrong and ends up becoming a hostage situation. We are expecting this to be a superb watch.
