Qualcomm has finally taken the wraps off its latest flagship Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor and finally, it’s time for almost all Android smartphone brands to launch their next-gen flagships. We can expect leading brands like Xiaomi, Samsung, OPPO, Vivo, Realme, iQOO, and Motorola to soon start teasing the arrival of their upcoming smartphones which will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor and launch within the next few months. Let’s take a look.

List of upcoming Snapdragon 8 Gen 2-powered smartphones

Xiaomi 13 series

The Xiaomi 13 series is said to launch in China sometime in December. The series will likely launch in the global market in Q1, 2023. The lineup is said to consist of the vanilla Xiaomi 13 and the Xiaomi 13 Pro devices. Both Xiaomi 13 and Xiaomi 13 Pro are expected to come powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor.

The Xiaomi 13 Pro is tipped to feature a 6.7-inch E6 2K LTPO panel with a 120Hz refresh rate. Under the hood, the device will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor, which is said to be paired with 8GB/12GB RAM and 128GB/256GB/512GB internal storage. In terms of cameras, the Xiaomi 13 Pro is tipped to arrive with a 50MP main camera, a 50MP ultra-wide camera, and a 50MP telephoto camera.

In terms of software, the Xiaomi 13 series is reportedly going to boot Android 13-based MIUI 14 skin out of the box. Lastly, the Xiaomi 13 Pro is tipped to feature a 4,800mAh batter with support for 120W fast charging.

Motorola Moto X40

Motorola is tipped to launch its flagship Motorola Moto X40 soon in the market. The Motorola Moto X40 is reportedly going to feature a 6.67-inch FHD+ OLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate. Powering the device will be a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor, coupled with 8GB/12GB/18GB LPDDR5 RAM and 128GB/256GB/512GB UFS3.1 storage. The device is tipped to boot Android 13-based MYUI skin out of the box.

Speaking of the cameras, the Moto X40 is said to come with a 50MP main camera, a 50MP ultra-wide angle camera, and a 12MP portrait camera at the back. The device is said to feature a 5,000mAh battery with 68W TurboPower fast charging support.

Vivo X90 series

The Vivo X90 series, comprising the vanilla Vivo X90, the Vivo X90 Pro, and the Vivo X90 Pro+, will launch in China on November 22nd, followed by the global launch. All three smartphones are tipped to come equipped with Snapdragon 8 Gen 2.

The Vivo X90 Pro+ is reportedly going to feature a 6.78-inch QHD+ AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. Coming to the cameras of the device, the Vivo X90 Pro+ 5G is tipped to flaunt a 50MP Sony IMX989 1-inch sensor, a 48MP ultra-wide sensor, a 50MP telephoto sensor, and a 64MP periscope sensor. The Vivo X90 Pro+ 5G is said to house a 5,000mAh battery with 100W fast charging support.

iQOO 11 series

The iQOO 11 series, comprising the iQOO 11 and the iQOO 11 Pro, is likely to launch sometime in December. Both devices, in all likelihood, will be powered by Snapdragon 8 Gen 2. The iQOO 11 is said to sport a 6.78-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with a whopping 144Hz refresh rate. The iQOO 11 Pro, on the other hand, will likely make room for a QHD+ panel. Lastly, the device is expected to feature a 5,000mAh battery with 120W fast charging support.

OnePlus 11 series

The OnePlus 11 series is reportedly going to launch in instalments, and the OnePlus 11 is expected to launch before its Pro counterpart. Launch timeline regardless, both OnePlus 11 and OnePlus 11 Pro are most likely to feature the latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor.

The specifications of the OnePlus 11 Pro are already out in the wild, as we exclusively leaked its specifications and renders a little while ago. The OnePlus 11 Pro will feature a 6.67-inch QHD+ AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. At the back, the OnePlus 11 Pro is tipped to sport a 50MP main camera, a 48MP ultra-wide camera, and a 32MP 2x telephoto camera.

Under the hood, the OnePlus 11 Pro will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor, which will be coupled with up to 16GB RAM and up to 256GB internal storage.

Realme GT 3 series

Not much is known about the Realme GT 3 lineup for now, but the Realme GT 3 and the Realme GT 3 Pro are likely going to be the members of the GT 3 family. We can expect the vanilla Realme GT 3 to be powered by the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 and the Realme GT 3 Pro to come equipped with the latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor.

OPPO Find X6 series

The OPPO Find X6 series is expected to launch sometime in Q1, 2023. The series will consist of the OPPO Find X6 and the OPPO Find X6 Pro. Both devices are expected to be powered by the latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor. The OPPO Find X6 Pro is also tipped to come in a Dimensity 9000 variant as well.

Samsung Galaxy S23 series

The Samsung Galaxy S23 series is likely to launch in February 2023 during the brand’s upcoming Galaxy Unpacked event. The series is likely to include the vanilla Samsung Galaxy S23, Samsung Galaxy S23+ and the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra.

All three devices are expected to drive power from the latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor. The Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra is tipped to feature a 6.8-inch QHD+ Super AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. In terms of cameras, the device will likely make room for a 200MP + 12MP + 10MP + 10MP quad rear camera setup. In terms of battery, the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra will reportedly feature a 5,000mAh battery with support for 45W fast charging.
